Relay type

This type of stabilizer uses a relay switching technique. It consists of rectifiers, amplifiers, micro-controllers, transformers, and a collection of relays. These stabilizers are known for being cheaper and lightweight and can be used in situations where there is no requirement for the high precision output voltage. The accuracy of output voltage ranges between 5 and 10 per cent of the desired value.

Static voltage type

These types of stabilizers have a circuit which acts a power electronic converter. These stabilizers consist of transformers, microprocessors, and controllers. Due to their small size, they require minimum maintenance. Owing to this, these stabilizers have a higher demand in the market. They provide even better accurate results than servo voltage-controlled stabilizers.

Servo-controlled type

A servo motor for voltage regulation is used in this particular type of stabilizer. It also consists of an autotransformer, a buck-boost transformer, a driver for the motor, micro-controllers or microprocessors involved control circuit, etc. With this stabilizer, you will be able to correct very high deviations in input voltage to the most appropriate voltage required. Both single phase and three phase mains can be attached to this stabilizer. However, these stabilizers must be maintained routinely. Servo-controlled voltage stabilizers deliver output voltage which is highly accurate.
